The stream
by Backdraft· from The Stream 7''
The rain is pouring down from a sorrowed sky,
a soft breeze, the troubled sigh,
downeast head, sorrow fills these days,
tearing at me, wearing me down again...
See the drips fall and form the stream,
tearing at me, wearing me down again.
The sky above is growing darker still,
as this river roughens,
the current gets stronger, more and more,
it's harder and harder to reach the shore.
Dragged along by the stream,
drowning in what I so fear,
reaching hands, grabbing holds,
the river runs...
on and on, washed away,
the stream gets stronger everyday,
hearing the burden, cannot swim,
the water chokes me...
Filter out, the agony - washed away.
Filter out, what's killing me - washed away.
The stream, it flows along and leaves it's mark,
tearing away, flowing into the dark,
the downpour feeds the sorrow-filled river still,
tearing at me, wearing me down again...
