People pray for pretty smiles. Others run with guns looking for shit to claim. Whistles free you from your nightmares. Dead end jobs, 22 knowing how it’s gonna end. Life has turned into a game. Nothing better to do, you’ll play. Digging ditches what a life. Possibilities are slim to none. It seems this city swallows dreams, but we dug them up below this house. Everything above is pressing down on me. I’m 17 and I’ve got no time dream. I go to school so I can work. I go to work because I heard it’s the only way I can survive. But once a month something happens. A light comes on and the thunder follows all night long. I call it 5 hours of heaven. Everyone knows for miles that tonight’s the night that all hell breaks loose. And when it’s done I bathe in ruble. I know I’m alive and I try to remind myself that if I can hold on just a little longer I might find myself right where I want to be. It seems this city swallows all our dreams, Everything above is pressing down on me. I’m 17 and I find just enough time to dream. Everyday is shorter then the last. Everyday is shorter then the last. I’m 17 and I find just enough time to dream. Everyday is shorter then the last. Everyday is shorter then the last.
