Nightmares

I’m trying to turn the page and forget these vivid thoughts. The memories of what used to be, I’ve tried & I’ve fought. I need to escape these nightmares, the cold nights and the colder sweats, but these visions are always looming and it’s you that I cant forget. And every time my eyes roll back, you walk through my door. Then everything goes black and the air turns cold. I see you standing there, the image of how you used to care. It’ll never escape my mind.
