sever the tie
by dead in the dirt· from FEAR
the vast reach of the police
brutalized another gay man
while you stand complacent on the streets
i'll sever the tie to the keeper's hand
the hand that keeps us snuffed out
and choking at the throats
is the same that rapes and abuses
and keeps us lined in rows
