Forging A Future by First To Leave

Maybe Next Year

by First To Leave· from Forging A Future

Hey, it's not even winter. At least I've got time on my side. Great, I'm already thinner, so weak and with much to hide. So I look out my window at these sunken purple walls and wish I hadn't let you know that I would take that fall again. Hey, let's think of the weather, like sun in December and say, "Great, I've already been here, but now I want you by my side." So I look down and hope for something safe to land upon. As reckless as I tend to be I just might scare you off. But wait, just wait. Maybe next year I'll start a new page with everyone still here. Maybe next year I'll start a new page and you will disappear from sight and mind, and I'll have nothing left to hide.
