Bleak Reality
by Forfeit· from The Lower Depths
Father, forgive me, for I know not what I do. Nor the countless ways that I've disappointed you. Mother, release me from the weight of all this sin. To count my regrets, I cannot begin. I threw away every chance I received. A miserable failure from a fortunate son. The things I've become, I cannot believe. But I won't shut my eyes to what's in front of me. I will not avoid my bleak reality.
