The Lady, Blindfolded, Raped And Hanged
by Hearts Alive· from The Black Sleep
Picture the unlikely image,
of justice raped and hanged.
The one you painted so well,
and slung across my back.
The last sight I received,
was your covered eyes.
Can't you stand the visage,
of your handiwork.
The best I could ever hope for is an epitaph saying:
Here lies one of the innocents that were slain.
At least my imprisonment ends.
The one that gave me due time.
To send miles of petitions.
All read and proudly ignored.
The blame that was cast on me,
granted me a fair trial.
With evidence ignored,
in the name of swift justice.
The last sight I received,
was your covered eyes.
Can't you stand the visage,
of your handiwork.
The time has come for me to be,
put to sleep at the request,
of the people and the state,
for my crime was far too great.
And I'm not alone in this,
the grim murderers tool,
that I wish that I'd,
live to see you all strapped into.
This number is no longer in service.
I won't get home 'til christmas.
So best of wishes motherfucker.
You sent me to fry and I hope that you'll see my boiling eyes.
In all your dreams.
My boiling eyes.
