Impossible Dreams

I would trade all of this in to chase impossible dreams. To feel like that again, to never forget...to feel alive. I'm surrounded by failures and cowards. God forbid in a world of nothing somone feels anything at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for easy answers. Yours were wrong anyway. I just wish it wasn't so hard. I'll become everything you hate just to show you there's another way. To show that there is still hope in this world. These words will eat away at everything you said. Everything that turned out to be a lie, and everything that never was. I am not like you. I will never be like you. *Growing up we were always told that we can be whatever we want to be. Put your mind to it and you can do anything you want. That is until it is in your face. Everyone thinks they have the answer. Everyone always seems to know what is best for you, how you should live your life. Well I did that. I followed the path that everyone else did and it left me with nothing. The sooner people realize that each person is different, there is not one path that works for everyone, the better and more satisfied we all will be. I tried your way and I tried to be like everyone else and I failed. Let me be myself. Let me live and fail my way. Let me show you that there is more to life than this emptiness I see in the eyes of everyone that did it your way.*
