I want to close my eyes and forget everything around me
No matter how I try to block it out, I still hear the shouting
“Which way is life taking me each day?” I ask but to no surprise, I hear nothing back
I look to the skies for piece of mind and I remember the times I cried
Stop telling me I am doing this in vain
I feel all of you feeding off my pain
I never understood the tears I cried, I never understood why
Why it was always this way with an ignorant father and mother's broken dreams Innocence lost never taken back and I still yearn for a light
The one thing that has made me want to keep life
With all the grief I have felt, it has slowly made me into myself
