The Last Chance
by The Defense· from Common Sense 7''
Passed away everything we had I lied myself a thousand times
Wondering how we could break it, denying you'll never come back
You called it pride, I call it bittersweet nostalgia
For a minute what we knew had meaning, now I'm fighting to remember you
Friendship meant so much more than those two fucking words
But I never found the way to make you understand
Those who once I love so much became strangers in short time
Now I'm still wondering why.
But this time I'm singing just to praise
And give thanks for every feeling, every bond and all the moment we once shared
And I'll remember you every summer night and day
When the waves will break at Sitges, whan waves will break at the sitges shore
And I'm still wondering how destiny could change our ways
But in case this is my last chance to say goodbye
I'll take the ashes of our days with me and keep the meaningful times alive
Our momories don't need a funeral, we didn't kill it, we just let it go.
A whisper in time fill the gap of your absence
Is all that remains, is all that I have, is the only thing left of you.
