The Price Of Man(ipulation)
by The Effort· from Wartime Citizens
We’ve been manipulated our whole lives, because there’s been this war over our minds, that’s why they want you to consume, the alcohol, the pills and the morning news. That’s where I heard someone had shot a bald eagle, and it reminded me of just how feeble, our strength is to persevere through our own lives, in this country with an open heart and a critical mind, and that’s the price of their manipulation, constant fear then virtual masturbation, while their precious stocks rise and fall, stocks that really have no meaning to us all, so now you’ve left me with no other options, than to put my words up for someone else’s adoption, even though they are all I have in times like these, but looking back I haven’t lived in a time without disease. We’ve always been plagued by corporations, who’s market plan concerns profit and not stimulation, of human or intellectual growth, but a hand on the bible makes us believe their oaths. Well do you still believe them? I wonder how long my father believed the lies, and can my grandfather now see the greed in their eyes? After years of believing in greener grass, and fighting on foreign soil just for class. It was all just for a promise of higher class, so can you tell me again, what exactly is the price of man?
