The Cascade by Endicott

a fist full of sparks

by Endicott· from The Cascade

There is nothing like the relentless pursuit of destruction to fade all the colors and steal all the magic from everything you see. And even if cling to it like a hanging man pulls at the rope around his neck. This moment is passing. And you can’t take it with you when you go. And as sad as it seems sometimes the strongest heroes are shot down. Sometimes an angels halo breaks as it falls. And i'm beginning to wonder if any of my prayers will be answered. But I know that what goes up is always destined to hit the ground. It’s just a question of how hard and who will be left to pick up the pieces. So if it’s up to me this star is gonna go out blazing. And i’m taking the whole sky down in my flames. And I still can’t find the beauty in this disaster because in my ears I can always hear the false promise of heaven ringing untrue like the sound a bullet makes as it hits your heart and I think. Hell could not be worse then this. There isn’t this much pain in a thousands hells. Look at this place tell me how to get out tell me why we all have to burn what happens when we become the ashes what happens to our world. When it’s all gone.
