Take me way from the light. Put my body in a cell. Surrounded me with reflections of my shattered life. And when I come back make sure nobody knows my name. no one. I spent my best days in chains for nothing. And I can never have them back to live again. The truth is I just stood by and watched them fall apart before my eyes. And still nothing can compare. No. nothing. Nothing can compare to the way that you see the world when you’re on the outside looking in. so many times I wanted to reach out to touch someone and feel them touch me back. Through my fire in my heard. Through my dead skin. They never knew. How broken hearted I was. They never knew. How cold it made me. And as if I died they buried me underneath the wreckage of their ruined lives. Cut off from what I know. But I will come full circle. I will find a place to stand about it all. And I take one last look at what I am as I cast it all aside to become truly free. I will be free. And to the world I drop my chains down on you. I hope it tears you apart that you may never understand what it means to be loved by others. What it means to love yourself. I saw the light on the dark horizon. I will be free. I saw the light on the dark horizon. I will be free. I will have my day.
